  • Inducted into the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame in 1996.
  • A newly created national athletic award honoring the top collegiate point-guard in women's basketball, was named in honor of Nancy Lieberman by the Rotary Club of Detriot. All proceeds from the award will be donated to the American Cancer Society, Great Lakes Division and used towards fighting cancer throughout metro-Detriot.
  • Women's Sports Foundation president 1999-2000.
