Heading into her 26th year, Nancy Lieberman has produced basketball camps and free clinics for children across the United States. An essential part of her organization has been endowments for her Minority Youth Scholarship Program. This program has enabled young people from around the country to not only focus and enhance their athletic ability, but to build their confidence, self-esteem, and decision making skills. Nancy’s camps and clinics also give them the life building essentials that they will need in all aspects of their future.
We believe that putting these adolescents in an environment to trust, compete, win, lose, and to gain team responsibility will only heighten their skills in all that they do in life. As of 2010, Nancy Lieberman Foundation have given over 12,000 scholarships to minority youth to let them know who they can be, not who they can’t be. Over three dozen of our applicants have gone on to play college sports by receiving athletic scholarships, and dozens more have gone on to college on their own merit to pursue their future. We have continued to upgrade the opportunities of our Endowment Program by providing funding scholarships for college, and providing computers, as these two areas are vital necessities for young people in today’s society.
Without the generous financial commitments of so many of my friends and business associates, this program would not be taking the strides it has over the years. We are very appreciative, honored, and pleased that you believe in my dream for these young girls and boys and the differences we are making together in their lives.
